One of the key ‘problem’ areas people tell me about is their belly.
They want a flat stomach and washboard abs and are sick of having a flabby midriff.
So to solve their problem they start to do sit ups and stomach crunches every day or take on a 30 day ‘plank challenge’ before their holiday so they can get the look they want.
I'm sorry to tell you this but doing those things before your holiday just isn't going to be enough.....
I have some bad news :-(
YOU CAN’T SPOT LOSS FAT.
Doing ab exercises won’t lose fat from your belly in the same way doing tricep dips won’t result in fat loss from the backs of the arms.
If you can't decide where you put fat on, what makes you think you can decide where fat is lost?!
So how exactly do you lose belly fat?
You must create a calorie deficit so you start to lose fat from all over your body, and this will INCLUDE your belly!
So next time you see an infomercial, a book or an exercise class that claims it can burn fat from one specific area know that there is zero, nada, nothing, zilch, evidence to back these claims up!
