It's the most wonderful time... of the yeeeeearrrrr!
Tuneful, non? So it's time I threw this blog post together for you because I know how important it is to get my voice out there amongst the millions of others. Seriously, google 'how to have a guilt free Christmas'. Go! Do it!
4.7million results for that search. Amazing.
And you know what, I suspect that 99.9% of the websites aren't in any way useful. You know why? Because having a 'guilt-free' Christmas has nothing to do with:
Not drinking Alcohol.
Working out on Christmas day.
Firstly, if we're being honest with each other we all know we're going to do exactly the opposite of those things and secondly because the ideas proposed are total bullshit. We read that we shouldn't do those things, then we do, and we end up feeling guilty!
Thanks. For. That.
Christmas is EXACTLY the time of year when you SHOULD let go, relax and give yourself a break. It's the time of year where you SHOULD overindulge in food and alcohol and snacking and give yourself a break from working out because you should DESERVE a treat. It's the other 364 days of the year that you need to get your diet and exercise regime right.
So fuck the guilt, cut loose and enjoy yourself on Christmas day. Then when you wake up on Boxing Day shake it off and get back to working on your goals. I certainly will be.
